What is a resume keyword scanner?
A resume keyword scanner parses your CV the way an ATS does and reports which keywords were detected. It tells you which terms you are leaving on the table so you can rewrite the CV to match the role.
How does CVTracker score keywords?
Each matched keyword is worth 5 points, on top of section coverage (15 points per core section). The total score is 0–100. The result includes the matched and missing keyword lists.
Do I need a job description to scan?
No — the free scanner runs against a baseline industry keyword set and the structure of your CV. To match a specific job description, save the CV to your library (free account) and use resume tailoring on Pro.
Which file formats are supported?
PDF and DOCX, up to 5MB. Scanned-image PDFs without real text will fail — that itself is a critical ATS-readability warning.
Is my CV stored?
Only if you create an account and explicitly save it to your CV library. The public scanner does not persist your file.
Does it work for non-English CVs?
Yes. English and Spanish CVs are supported with language-aware keyword detection.
