What is an ATS resume checker?
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) resume checker simulates how automated recruiting software parses your CV. It scores structure, keywords, and formatting so you can fix issues before a real ATS rejects you.
How does the CVTracker ATS score work?
We parse your CV with the same techniques most ATS use (PDF/DOCX text extraction), then score core sections (contact, summary, experience, skills, education) and check keyword coverage. Each section is worth 15 points and each matched keyword is worth 5 — for a maximum of 100.
Which file formats are supported?
PDF and DOCX, up to 5MB. We do not support scanned-image PDFs — your CV must contain real text the ATS can read, which is itself a key ATS-readability check.
Is the ATS checker really free?
Yes. The ATS checker is free forever — no credit card, no signup required for a single check. Free accounts get 3 saved analyses per month with the CV library; Pro removes that limit and unlocks resume tailoring.
Is my CV stored or shared?
CVTracker is self-hosted on our own infrastructure. We do not sell or share your CV, and we do not use it to train AI models. If you create an account and save a CV to your library, it stays in your private library and you can delete it anytime.
Does it work for non-English CVs?
Yes. The checker supports English and Spanish CVs and adapts keyword detection to each language.
