Project management is one of the most keyword-formalised professions there is, which works in your favour if your CV uses the standard vocabulary and badly against you if it does not. Requisitions name a methodology, a certification, a toolset and a set of controls — scope, budget, risk, schedule. Describing yourself as "responsible for delivery" matches almost none of that.   • Change management

    Frequently a separate requirement from project delivery and searched separately.

  • Vendor management

    Appears wherever delivery depends on third parties, which is most enterprise work.

How to use this list

  • Give every project its shape: budget, team size, duration and outcome. Those four numbers are what differentiate PM CVs.
  • Use the methodology named in the posting — Agile and Waterfall experience are matched separately, not as a spectrum.
  • Put certifications near the top with their full names; several requisitions filter on them before anything else.
  • Name the controls you actually ran — risk register, change requests, steering committee — rather than "managed the project".

Not universally, but where a posting lists it as required it often functions as a hard filter, and where it is preferred it is still a literal keyword match. If you hold it, put it in your header line as well as the certifications section.

Substantially. Scrum master postings screen for ceremonies, servant leadership and team coaching; project manager postings screen for budget, scope, risk and schedule. A CV written for one scores poorly against the other.

How do I quantify project management work?

Budget managed, team size led, schedule variance, and delivery on or ahead of a named date. Those specifics both persuade a reviewer and give the control keywords somewhere honest to sit.
